Spider Crispy Treats

Looking for a Halloween treat to make with the kids?
Transform the classic rice treat by adding jelly beans and licorice with a little frosting.

Fun & yummy!

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. butter or margarine

  • 10 ounce package

    (about 40) regular marshmallows

    or 4 cups mini marshmallows

  • 6 cups Rice Cereal

  • One package jelly beans

  • One package black or red Twizzlers

  • One jar of frosting

 

Directions

  • In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat.

  • Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

  • Add in the Rice cereal.

  • Stir until the cereal is well coated. Cool slightly.

  • Using buttered hands, shape cereal mixture into eight spiders. Cool.

  • Decorate by using frosting to make two eye dots and four leg dots per side.

  • Using the frosting as glue, attach the jelly beans as eyes.

  • Then cut the Twizzlers in half and place as legs.
